Mountain Air, A Maddening Moth, and Meeting New People!

Today I hiked up a mountain! The blackflies were a biting, and the thought of hungry bears was semi-frightening'..but we kept on hiking.

I hope you still remember me.. my name's Jenna.. I take time to fill you in on my crazy life, and sometimes you feel like reading what I post here? Anything ring a bell?
I have made my reappearance! I have returned!
Back and ready to yack!

So.. what else have I been up to, as of late?
Aside from this little hiking expedition, I recently got back from a school ''Leadership Retreat Conference''.
During this time spent away from  home; I met loads of new people ( YALL ROCK), ate great camp food, played all sorts of interesting games, and even started to plan out events for the upcoming school year.

A few things I learned from this experience

1. Jenna.. when it comes to the High Ropes Course.. face it.. your harness-putting-on-skills, could use a little brushing up :p

2. Embrace your socially awkwardness... yup mhhmm.

3. Contact Lenses are evil.. owyowyow

4. Get outside of your comfort zone more.. it can be pretty worth while

AND NOW FOR A STORY..

. So there was this moth that was just chilling out in our cabin( ASTER) And we all tried to find/put an end to it's itty-bitty insect life.. but it oh-so-magically- VANISHED-right before lights out time. Moths and I, usually get along alright, but when it comes  to falling asleep, with the possible threat of ingesting this creature.. or the idea that it could nestle into your ear for the night.. then moths and this girl, don't hit it off super well.
After an unsuccessful moth hunt, and the age-old trick of turning the room light-off and turning on the porch light.. we all drifted off to sleep. The moth episode became a thing of the past.. until I returned home..and  unzipped my suitcase.. guess what fluttered free?

Overall, the leadership retreat was pretty cool and I'm glad I signed up for the class.
I'm looking forward  to continue to get to know everyone better, make a difference at the high school i attend, and make this school year count!
WEEEOH.

Storytelling Through Art!

Ay my hillbillies, vagabonds, internet stalkers, ogres, wood-land fairies, and
relatives! (I need to stop with these bizarre intros haha.)

Topic of the day is on ART-but more specifically, the stories that you drawing-folk can
tell through a little cartooning around.

The story of a cat's dietary struggle... to keep fit, while resisting tasty temptation that lurks at every corner.
(ahaha that makes it sound pretty intense, doesn't it?)

EEEEEP! A young girl encounters her worst nightmare... the dreaded ceiling buggers, and wall clinging octoflies!
(or just bugs..)

Finnley the Walrus just wants a friend... too bad those pesky tusks of his, send everyone a runnin'.

My apologies for the mediocre/(MEH) photo quality... My good-camera didn't feel like cooperating... guess it's just in a bad mood. (In other words I just forgot to charge the battery)
Ah well.. my phone camera does the job.

More stories to come, in these Summer weeks ahead!

Have a doodling of a day,
and
stay
inspired!

The Campfire Collection:Part One

I love campfires.  The smoke, the ash, and the way that they can bring a group of people together. Where individuals begin to share stories;of their life, their faith, and how they got to where they are today. Powerful stuff I tell you.
Today, I just got back from an amazing youth retreat up at a Camp, and about a week before that I was at a different camp..more "camp camp"(roughing it).. where I was running wild through the wilderness like a raving lunatic-but enough about that.. For the time being I am going to post the pictures/stories from the retreat I just returned from.

Background story: We'd just finished playing a wide-game of.. umm was it pool-noodle soccer..(hence the glow sticks to show what team we were on.)Hah anyways.. I love the way my trusty old phone camera', was able to show the different dimensions to the campfire; the odd flicker of blue, deep shades of scarlet, and the glowing embers.. (I'm not a pyromaniac.. honest. ;)

This was the same fire-pit.. but on the next morning. We had a finger painting contest, and then displayed our artwork around the fire... And in our snottiest Artist impression, had to describe the story/hidden meanings behind our art. I got kind of nervous and said something stupid like..
''Uh I painted some trees..burning..uh on fire.. because you never know when that could happen in the future...and then I stuck these spitz on the tree trunks to uh-channel my inner spit?".
Fail.
Here is a picture.. of several trees. I enjoy the different tones and variations of green, as well as the dark trunks that wind their way through the forest.

And here, is a rather chaotic video of some singing around the camp-fire. Enjoy ;).

And have a beautiful day! My challenge for you today is to get outside.. with a group of friends.. or even just by yourself! Go and experience the natural beauty that God, the creator, has surrounded us with!

3dsMax

Hey hey hey! So the topic of today's conversation, happens to be on animation program
called 3ds Max! Woot a woot woot! Lately, I've been diving deep into the depths of this
software, working with everything from material mapping, lighting, and character modelling (this new interest has come about due to being in an Animation Course.) I've learned many things..

Number #1 being: It's complicated.
The amount of complexity that lies within this
ultra-jammed pack piece of software, is really quite astounding.
Just a heads up though-it's a tricky one to master. It takes a
good deal of patience, determination, and (prayer! I thought I might
drop out of this class, because when I started it was quite strenuous,
but God got me through the worst of it)
There will be days when you just want to scream out in frustration..
Your eyes may begin to ache, and your body may become weakened.
You might never figure it out, fully! But use ads max... to the max.
(hehe.) and you'll truly receive the maximum...;)  satisfaction out of
your creations!

Keep those imaginations flowing, and those computer
screens glowing. (But go get some fresh air afterwards.)

-Jennnnaaa or just call me the funkster/"max"imalist

okay shutting up now.
